Visual Arts term 3 class 1

Last day in class we did drawings and miss gave us our scheme of work for the rest of the term. She explained everything that we had to do and what material we needed for each piece of art that we would be doing for her this term.

During the first period we just talked about the assignment but the second period is when we got to go outside to  draw either in worm’s eye view, standing perspective or bird; eye view. I was assigned to go and draw in a standing perspective so my horizon line was just above the center of the page. When I started to draw I didn’t know where to begin because we had to draw the roadside by our school. My drawing came out good even though I did not finish in time.

So in class today I learnt about the horizon line and how it help to make your drawing look more realistic in when you are drawing a road or a park. Today’s class was good and I am looking forward for the next class. 

Art day 10

Today in class we did not do anything except that miss showed us how to use optical mixing and miss told us that we finished for the term. Now we have to get ready for end of term test so all we have to do for the next classes is practice for the test.

Art day 9

Today we put our finishing touches on our fruits and we had to carry it up to be marked. We learned to shade circular with our pencils. I liked today's class because it was more calm than the classes and also because i got 20 marks out of 25 marks in my fruit   

Art day 8

Today was not really as exciting as i thought it would be because we only shaded the fruit partially the one that we drew last class. Before the shading Miss gave us a question that would be for exam and also we were told what materials we needed to bring for it.    

Art day 7

Today we had miss for a double period but she could not make the class so because of social studies teacher was not there she took that period and showed us what we had to do. The class had to work hard and quickly as we did not have much time to finish the assignment and it was to be collected by her by the end of school. I did not enjoy class today as it was unsupervised and I did not concentrate properly.I am sure the next class will be better.

Art Day 6

Today we used our oil pastels for colouring the portait i did not like the class too much because it was really messy but i know the others will be better.

Art day 5

Today we had to bring magazines glue and scissors to do our day's work. We had to cut out shapes of colours and stick them to our portrait. had cut out my eyes, ears, nose, lips and eyebrows for the day. I got 20 out of 25 I was not happy with my grade but I will try to make it better for the final mark.
